We've got a gun. In fact, we've got two. That's OK, man, 'cause we love God.

As the sports world rejoices over another overhyped Texas quarterback and another recruiting class that's DESTINED for a national title, ESPN polling data provides an interesting perspective.

A few days ago, ESPN asked who would win the Red River Shootout. ESPN users answered 74-26 that Texas would indeed beat Oklahoma. Today, ESPN asks if this is the year that Mack Brown and Texas defeat Oklahoma. Still, SportsNation votes for UT, but only at a 61-39 clip.

Texans, does it upset you at all that simply including your head coach's name in a poll question increases the number of people that think that you'll lose a big game by fifty percent?

Keep talking and beating Baylor, UT, because that's all you do well.

Huh. Sounds kinda like the Church insisting on being called by the full name and not just "the Mormon Church".

I don't know who's going to win--I don't follow college footbal much--but I'll be rooting for Oklahoma, mostly because I can't bring myself to go for Texass.
